the discos and the "quick disconnects" are the same.....they are a good product ... but you have to modify the jeep a bit before they go on properly |

I just saw they had "Quick Disco" and "Quicker Disco" I didn't realize the KJ was only listed for the "Quicker" |

6 18mm bolts and your disco'd. That's an option. I've got it down to 3-5 minutes. |

I know FreeJeep is happy with his. I use my own system that consists of only removing two bolts and is similar to the JKS setup, but not for everyone. |

I'm happy with mine as well...but as others have stated there is a little prep work to make sure these things aren't noisy. |

I had no issue with noise or ride on the road. The only problem I ever had with them was snapping the lanyards that holds it up when discoed. Because I got some of the really early ones, my insructions didn't have the part about removing the ABS sensor tab. Once that was gone, I had no more problems at all. |

Maybe with the combo of Frankenlift and 3" wider stance due to my Cragars but I couldn't get the QD to work in all possible ups, downs, lefts, right. Always found a way to break that danged lanyard. |

I thought you just meant disconnecting it |

Yeah, he's not the only one that does that. It makes a lot of sense if you don't mind taking the time. I bought the JKS discos, but, to be honest, I'm thinking it may be better to just remove the bar. In fact, I may remove it for the Moab trip, just so I don't have to worry about the lanyard snapping. |

I thought you just meant disconnecting it Yup. The whole bar. But there's very few trails where you need this kind of flex. So I don't disco for every run. Calico, some Moab, some Big Bear. In my neck of the woods, Deer Creek, Slick Rock. Comes off real easy. Putting back on takes a little practive fishing the bar and links in between the control arms but once you see how its done it's really simple. |
