Did the (USA) Cherokee Sport ever come with IFS? I saw one today heading back to work after lunch. It had lower control arms and no visible diff. Another Cherokee passed me by (dime a dozen here) and you could see the diff and solid front axle. |

No. You might have seen a 2wd XJ, which will not have a front diff, and if it is stock height, might appear IFS if you were just driving past eachother. There is a solid front axle, but it is just a tube all the way across. |

I think the real question is....Where would you find a 2wd Jeep on a dealer lot in Colorado? Maybe they moved from out of state? When I was in Florida over the holidays I did not see one Liberty with 4wd...Yet here in Colorado I have yet to see one with 2wd...Must just be the market where they are sold. John ];') |

John ];') Agreed, You never see a 2WD for sale on a dealer lot here, either. |

2wd ones still had a solid tube axle up front. |

The one I was looking at looked like it had lower control arms, not a tube running across. |
