Post subject: | Brake line shortage??? |
Hey guys, after getting my Jeep repaired from when i got rear-ended my brake system warning light came on. I figured it was just the e-brake sensor gone awry or the brake itself dragging. After about a day i got under the truck and noticed that there was a brake fluid leak where the line attaches to the splitter on the axle. I took it back to the body shop and they told me that the line is actually too short. I went to look at the truck when it was up on the lift, and lo and behold, the line fits, but is pretty taught. Has anyone here had any problems with their brake lines being too short on their Frankenlift? If not, you might want to double-check. Also, do you guys know if All-J makes a longer brake line? I would think that if it was necessary then they would have included it in the kit. |

I don't know about All-J but I think Jeepin Al sells extended stainless steel brake hoses for lifted KJs. Check him out at http://www.jeepinbyal.com |

Strange, I have two lifted KJ's and I have never noticed a problem w/ the brake lines being too short. Jeepin Al was selling some nice extended brake lines. I still have a real long set from when I was planning the SFA. (way too long for a IFS KJ though) |

I realize that and I still have not seen a rear line maxed out. I will be checking to make sure though. |
