I took my rear tow hook off since I just got a rear hitch, thanks again Mike for it, but I'm having trouble getting the clipped in threaded bolt holder out of the hole that is suppost to go along with the tow hook according to the instructions I saw in teh tech section. Just curious if anyone has any pointers on how to get that sucker out b4 i tear up some tools trying to pry it out of there. THANKS!! -Scott here are the instructions i referenced... http://site.justforjeeps.com/guide/82206125.pdf If you look at Part A that is the clip thingy i'm talking about...thanks again... |

I never had any problems. Perhaps you don't have similar openings as my `04. Too long ago to remember how I got it out though. I just remember that it came out easy. |

maybe the clip has seated itself to the frame with some rustiness too. have you shot any wd-40 or anything up there. That is a tight spot to try and get anything done though. |

I saw some clips that looked just like those at Advance auto parts the other day. Maybe you could see if a local auto parts store has them if you cannot get it off. |

If I remember correctly, it is a standard automotive clip, only a big one. If it feels like it's loose but just doesn't want to come out, try and put a screw driver just to lift the centre of the clip ever so slightly. This should give you enough room just to slide it out. If that doesn't work, you can pretty much bust it with a big screwdriver. |

If you get it out in one piece, can I have it? I got a rear hook on the cheap and I need a third nutclip. |
