burnt hairspray smell

OK when im getting on the gas or climbing around.. and Pulling a trailer (1100 lbs about)
i smell something like burnt hairspray.. No not like eggs its not the cat although i havent ruled that out.
any comments??? only does it when i really get on it.

I always had a similar smell when I floored and run there for a while. It comes from the windshield defroster duct, and always smells like something's burning.
I used to call it "sulfur smell".

Could it possibly be from a little coolant escaping or venting off?

"Burnt Hairspray" is a tough one to imagine, but have you checked your transmission fluid recently? It could be the clutch if you have a manual tranny, or it could be maybe the brakes are a little sticky and burning away on the rotors. Other than that, I'm lost (no pun intended :lol:

Do you have a stock exhaust?
I used to experience a similar smell on my 94 integra GSR after I switched to a stainless header and cat-back.
I think that it was the metal heating up and making a smell in my case. Couldn't say for those mentioned above...
