Hello,
I replaced the stock bulb (42) by the HID bulb (35W). I got the kit from this site:
http://www.XenonKing.com/
In my case , i have the H10 bulb in my fog light. So i went to the website and selected the same model in HID. Then you can select the color of the HID going from 3000K to 12000K . I did not get any answer on the heat but I think the 3000K is cooller than the 12000K. I got the 5000K because they are the one with the most output. I did not test and check my genuin light and see how hot they get. I try to put my hand on the fog light with the HID , it was really hot. But for sure less hot than a 55W bulb. I
was very heasy to install them. I installed the balast under the breaker box behind the hed light for the right. And i installed the ballast on the vertical braket on the left behind the light. I remove the signal turn and used to screws to secure everything. I used plastic strap to secure all wires.
I drilled two little hole for the screws into the plastic and intalled the ballast under the plastic and bolt it from the top. The breaker box does not go all the way down so you have about one inch of clearance
On this side you can see on hole already there, you just need to drill two more little holes. I use rubber washer on each side and tight it well
View from the top on the passager side. Use also some locker paste, you don't want to have the bolt getting lose in time. On the drive side you don't see anything because it is under the black plastic on the right of it
