Post subject:  FREE JEEP ACCESSORIES

We have the JEEP/DODGE Credit Card. We try to buy everything using the Credit Card as a way to rack up as many points as possible. We then use the rewards points towards MOPAR parts and accessories. You wouldn’t believe how much stuff we get for free. We got 2,500 points after our first purchase which = $25 dealer dollars. 1 dollar spent at Dealership = 5 reward points. 1 dollar spent on all other purchases= 1 reward point. It’s a way to get free Mopar roof racks, skid plates, light bars, tow hooks, or basic replacement parts. If you have your Jeep financed through Chrysler, then you can use your reward points towards a monthly payment. Use your credit card for paying bills, rent, mortgage, insurance, gas, food, or whatever will let you pay with a credit card. We purchased our extended warranty separately so we could use the credit card to earn a lot of points. Putting reward points towards parts and accessories is a better value than using the cash back option. Just something to think about!

What is the interest rate?

As with any credit card it all depends on your credit score. We got a good low promotional rate for 6 months and a very reasonable fixed rate thereafter. The JEEP card is a VISA by Bank of America. A lot of people already have Bank of America credit cards as they fund hundreds of Trademarks. If you’re already a card holder for Bank of America under another Trademark, then you can request a change in Card status to a JEEP card. We made this transition ourselves because we figured we would benefit from Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Accessories since we drive two CDX vehicles. Our other Bank of America credit card earned us cash back and travel benefits, but that wasn’t as satisfying as FREE JEEP ACCESSORIES!

Intrest rate is between 16.99% and 24.99%, being default.

Wow, that is a hideous rate. I guess the card would only be good if you paid the balance off each month. I do like the idea of getting points towards Jeep stuff. That sounds cool.

Well, why limit yourself to jeep credit card and their overpriced accessories from dealer or mopar direct? If it only looks cool when you are making purchases, yes i can see the reason, but go with chase rewards or any other bank rewards card.. You will get 1 point for 1 dollar, and 3 or sometimes even 5 points with classified purchases like gas, groceries, travel and restaurants.

There is also a catch with jeep card.
You see, normally all rewards work at %1. Which 1 point reward for 1 dollar. And when you want to use those rewards, each point is worth 1 cent.
So if you accumulated 2490 points (spend 2490) you'd think that you will get 24.90 worth of accessories.. Not so.. From what I have seen on their catalog, some of the stuff that's worth $100 is rewarded at 12000 or something like that.
In any case to get something well worth your while, considering that you spent about $30,000 a year on a credit card, you would get $300 credit at the end of the year to buy something from Mopar/Jeep.

I'd say go with bank rewards credit cards, you have 1 point guaranteed, and in special cases you have more chance to earn rewards back.
I have Sony Card and so far in my 4 years of using them, I got about 20 DVDs, some CDs, 7 megapixel camera and sony PSP. all with discount prices using points because even when I use my points to buy something I am getting 5 points on that purchase, so it gets stuff even cheaper. But yes, I would still prefer cash back, which I should have done in the beginning.

I've had and been using a Jeep card for a while now. I don't know the interest rate because I pay it off every month. My wife and I used to use our debt card all the time and tracking all those withdraws was a pain. So we decided to just use the Jeep card for every purchase each month, and then pay it off at the end of the month.

We put $2000 a month on it easy, so that's an easy $20.00 back each month, sometimes more. I think they give you extra points if you reach a certain amount for the month. Once I hit $300 I put $285 towards one of my Jeep payments, then wrote out a $285 check to JParts for my Mopar seat covers. It was cheaper that way instead of getting them through Jeep. So even if the return rate on the Jeep card is low, I got my seat covers for nothing. I now have over $150 saved up again.

I refuse to do any business with Bank of America because they support and encourage illegal immigration to the point of giving them credit cards.

Every bank does that. They have nothing to lose for $500 credit card.
Same goes with students, they prey on shopping-hungry college kids and solicit in front of colleges and dorms. So your solution would be not to use any credit card at all, keep your money under your pillow, and throw your checkbook out the window.

I have a Harley Davidson card and I keep getting letters from them saying PLEASE USE YOUR CARD! They have the same kind of deal.
I just pay cash for about everything and that way no hassles, no payments, nothing to worry about.

I am getting same from some old cards as well, also american express and discover does that a lot.. "Use your card, we'll give you $25!" hehe

your way is good way if you think you can keep track of all your purchases. I like to use cc so I can look at what I am spending on , a nd for year end summary., and of course like to tell cc company, government, health insurance companies and whomever my bank shares my personal private purchase history with, those sensored word.. As it stands I don't have a credit card at all. I use my debit card through a local credit union, or I pay cash.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread, sorry! Carry on
