Yes the red Lock-Tight will work just fine, just don't use the green Lock-Tight(you have to heat it up to 600 degrees+ to loosen that stuff).

Yes you'll be fine using the red Lock-Tight untill you can get new nylock nuts.Actually the lock-tighted nuts should stay tight better than nylock nuts without lock-tight if torqued properly.I recommend to get new nylock nuts anyway and lock-tight them to,better sucurity in my opinion.

I usually reuse the nuts for the upper balljoints and tie-rod ends. There isnt a problem with that, its the fact that they heated them up. The nylon was non-existent after that. Although I removed one of my tie-rod end bolts the other day and the Nylon was messed up. The threads were ok so Im not sure what happened. Ive got a few extra bolts so it wasnt a problem. Whats the blue thread lock for tjkj? |

Quote: Whats the blue thread lock for tjkj? The blue lock-tight is medium hold, red is a stroger hold, and the green lock-tight is considered perminiated(hence needing to heat to 600 degrees+ to get it to release).
