When I'm in reverse and start to accelerate there's a grinding/binding noise that comes with a slight vibration from the floor during the first few seconds of acceleration. If I shift to reverse and don't step on the gas, there is no noise/vibration - only when I give it gas. So far I've yet to hear it while turning (so this rules out cv joints?) This started up a few days ago and its become more noticeable. Any ideas as to what this is? |

I would check for a loose/rubbing exhaust component or heat shield. Also make sure that 4WD is actually disengaging, another good excuse to get offroad Auto or Stick? |

My tranny skid rubs on the exhaust. A grinder fixed it. You'd only notice in reverse when you'd hear it rattling against the skid. It does it a bit more now after Moab for some wierd reason.

Auto or Stick? X2...could have a soft engine mount letting something rattle against the floor. |
