I want to mount a 32" mud tire on the back of the liberty.

I know someone has done this but did it last??

I have a Trail Ready bumper on that I could possibly add a swing away too
again , has someone already done this with success ??

Thanks in advance!

Robert

A 32 can't be that much heavier than a 31.

That said, I think the 31 is almost to heavy in the long term. Plus, a custom swingout carrier would be preety trick!

I have 2 1" spacers on the top two polts an the tire mount and I can run 32" on stock wheels and still get the windo open. been there since 2002
and has not hurt the back door yet. would like to see a swing out ,be cool.

Only thing is the Trail Ready bumper does not provide the indentation for a tire I believe. The Rock Lizard does have a
space for the tire I believe . I didn't consider this when I purchased..................................ooooops!!

Yes thats the one problem with the TR Bumper it is straight across so the tire would have to be spaced way out to work. I am sure that some one could weld you up a new bracket that would allow the tire to clear the bumper if you wanted to keep it hanging on the door. Just take your bracket and fiqure out how much further and go from there

how far does it need to be spaced? i know rocky road sells a (i think it is:) 3" spacer for the rear tire...

i have it on my jeep and it pushes the rear tire out a lot from the body

the gate clears the 31" tire and 15" rim all the time....

might want to look into that

That's the one, I just ordered it . Looking at one of their rigs on their site you can see the larger
tire clearing the bumper completely . I'm guessing it will work in my case so I ordered it along
with a diff guard that I needed anyway.

Thanks for the tip!!

Robert

sorry I didnt see this post earlier. I have 32's on mine and I used washers. I believe it was three for each post. It gave me room to clear the stock rim and it didnt effect it in any negative way. The Rubicon rims or any other 16x8 rim will fit just fine.
