Just a funny little event this weekend. I''ve been building a house, and we're almost done. Electricity and the hardwood floors are the only things left. Electricity keeps getting delayed, and therefore, I can't start the hardwood. Most of last week, and all of this weekend was in the 70s, even the nights, so I was finally able to start installing the hardwood without electricity to heat the house. No electricity also means no air compressor, except wait a minute...! I have an on-board system in the Libby. I charged it up, left the Jeep in ACC and went to work. 6 hours later I stopped and was worried the jeep wouldn't start, but it started right up. YAY! Did about 500sq ft with a bostitch 3/4 hardwood flooring stapler with no compressor recharge lag and no dead batteries! |

That is truly insane! Was it a hammer stapler? One where you hit the top with a rubber mallet and it puts a staple in the board? I really liked that type. It seemed to pull any gaps outta the boards. Did a great job. We used a pancake compressor when my dad and I put down hardwood flooring in an addition on our house. It did a decent job although it was loud as heck. We put it in another room and closed the door while we were putting the floor down so we could talk. Those dont use alot of air, but its cool that the compressor in your Jeep could keep up with it and not run the battery down. We did around 700sq feet with ours. |
