A man in a 1990 Chevy pickup hit me in the left rear. He was sited, $120.00, for failure to have vehicle under control. His bumper hit and bent the rim then pushed the tail light assembly back into the tail gate. Going to be going to the stealership soon!

Ouch! Good luck with the dealer, let us know the estimate when you get it...

(sarcasm) Some duct tape will fix that right up!

Your rear tire could be out of balance and alignment. That might cause a noise like that. Definatly have it checked out. Glad no one was injured in the accident though.

Or bent axle (or rim) Have a friend drive the Liberty while you watch from the sidewalk and if something is out of round - you'll see it.

The rim is definitely bent some. It didn't break the bead. Not bad, you have to look closely to see it. A tow truck is on the way I told the Ins. company that because of the noise I didn't want to chance doing more damage.

Dang,

Have to get it fixed up so we can go riding before long. Tell the wife that if it was lifted they would have just hit the rockrail and rear bumper! :)

From my experience a minor accident is a major headache. Thankgoodness no one was hurt.

The noise in the rear end WAS a bent axel. The total came to: $3,363.00! The axel is supposed to be in today sometime. Everything else is done, it came out of the painting room this morning. When I pick it up I'll post what all they did to it if anyone is interested.

Very interested! Keep us updated...

Isn't it funny how expensive the "small" accidents usually are?

You're telling me, about 2 years ago i slide down a hill in the snow, i ended up rear ending a VW Jetta at the bottom, by this time i had maybe been going about 5MPH. The Jetta Was totaled. Entire rear bumper, trunk and fenders basically imploded on itself.

Oh, the jeep you ask....It bent my lisence plate frame and i got tiny scratch in the clear coat....
