This is about my Wrangler, but is more of a general automotive question. Lately I've noticed I have to hold the key and let it crank a few more times before the engine fires up. What do you guys think could be causing this? On another board it was suggested that the fuel pump anti drain seals are worn and it needs to re-pressurize the system before it will turn over. What do you think. Or a weak battery? It only has about 16,700 miles so either one of these things shouldn't really be going out yet. Any other ideas.

Low fuel pressure could cause it, weak battery, carbon build up, could need new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new coil wire.. Many things can cause that.. Turn the ignition to the on position and let it sit 2sec or so then crank the engine. That lets the pump build up pressure..
