When i got my 06 crd i started a alottment (EFT) from my pay every month to cover the payment.
the payment is posted on the first of the month, due date was the 11th of th month. due to missinformation (wrong routing number and bank) from them the first payment was late. after gettig every thing striat i asked the to change the due date to match the date my payments are posted. they told me no problem. I went off to Iraq just for the fun we have here.
I came home on leave aftrer six months to find they didnt change the date and have been chargeing me late ane service

I have Chrysler Financial. I've never had a problem with them. I'm about to refinance mine though. I don't know who's going to handle the loan since Chrysler was sold. I don't want them to try to sneak a high interest rate in on me.

I have number for Chrysler, but it's probably the one you're already calling....800-556-8172

Good luck, and thanks for serving. Sorry you guys have so much hassle with auto-pay junk when you get back. That's just wrong that a company would do that to you after you served our country.

You should refinance with USAA.

Doesn't the Army have a resource that you can got to? I have been out of the military for many years but I remember thay was a legal aid available. Maybe the dealer you bought the Jeep from will step up and assist you. As for refinance dealers give better rates than bamks these days maybe the dealer will assist with refinance. If you let it go back it is really going to hurt your credit rating and haunt you when you go to buy a home or some other major purchase.

No problems.

0.0% financing. No plans to refinance THAT.

I do automatic payments from my bank account, not allotment from the military/government.

This really stinks and I especially hate it happened to you. You just need somebody with some decision making ability and authority to straighten it out. Too bad most customer service operations these days have lost all perspective on the customer.

I suggest you contact your dealer first if you have a good relationship with one. The dealer may have a contact at chrysler to help straighten this out. Don't burn too much time at the dealer before filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB (www.bbb.org) is your advocate to get action. Hopefully they'll arrange a conversation between you and someone at Chrysler. Just remember, the Chrysler person you speak with probably deals with BBB issues all day, so they may be a good negotiator. Be firm with your facts and position and be friendly (but stick to your facts and position and don't cave in to fine print terms you're not reasonably expected to read if you breached the terms of repayment due to the inadequacies of financial institutoins).

Good luck. If the $$$'s involved are worth it and all else fails, you can consider contacting the media and/or starting a petition.

Chrysler Financial is going to be combined with GMAC now.
It'll be one company with a division for GMAC and a division for Chrysler Financial.
Cerebrus owns a majority of both which is the reason for the combination.
Who knows what's going on over there now.

If they are a good operation they will have the conversation taped. It is standard practice for most "phone customer service" companies or companies that rely on them to tape the conversations for the protection of both sides. If you really had a conversation about moving the date they can play it back. If the conversation took place, they have no recourse but to set you straight. I've never heard of a place that charges you a fee to do research on a transaction. Ask another manager to review the tape...if there is one.

Agree 100%, I've never had anything but problems with the military getting the payments in on time. When I started my loan for my motorcycle they were 3 months late but had been taking it out the whole time. Luckily I had a bank on base that understood 100%.

Legal aid should be able to help you out though.

I don't but I'm not a dirt guy I'm more of a Road Racing guy. I've got a few buddies that race at Coopers (local MX track) that probably see him around more often.

Then again, I doubt he's really here much anyway.

Look up the Soldiers and Sailors act. I think there is some protection in there that might help

While your loan can be sold to another company the terms can not be changed. There's no reason to worry about this. Besides you probably have a much better rate than what you could refinance at now...just some friendly advice from a loan officer.
