Post subject:  Emergency Brake adjustment

I tried the search feature, but no luck. Is there any way to adjust the e-brake? I have a 2004 with disk brakes. This weekend, I replaced the rear pads and rotors on two '04 Libertys (mine and my friends). On his, the rotors had to be beaten with a mallet to get them off. On mine, they just slid off. The next day, I remembered to check the e-brake, and when I did, the Jeep rolled forward while in gear without stepping on the gas. So, how do I adjust it?

Thanks!

I tried the old GM way to adjust...let it roll backwards in neutral and then pull up on the E-brake. seems to adjust it for a while then I have to repeat.

I had to have the e-brake pads replaced on mine. If u do this be sure to check the rotors. The first set I put in did absolutely nothing but get chewed up because the rotor was pretty badly rusted inside and the pads wouldn't seat properly.
