Has anyone added a second set of aftermarket lights to the front bumper of an 05 Renegade? I have the factory 6" 55W Hellas, but want to add my 85W PIAA combo fog/driving lights.
Before I go to the effort of removing the front bumper, does anyone know if there is enough metal under there to attach the lights? I was planning to add the PIAA lights just inside of the factory Hella. Have considered removing the Hellas, just using my PIAA. Not sure about how in the existing location...

Also, has anyone removed the bumper on 05 Renegade. I found some instructions for 04 sport in tech section. After looking at front bumper, it looks similar to remove, although there seem to be a few extra pieces to consider.

Is there anything special about the plastic rivots? Can I find those in a hardware store or do I need to special order?

Anyone have ideas  or pics :?:

Thanks!

John

That looks really good. As I was scrolling down from the top of the page, I was a little sceptical but the final product looks outstanding!

Looks really good but I personally would have done it the other way arround, PIAA's on the inside.

How did you mount the lightbar on the bumper? Through the two factory mounts for the fogs?

I want more details I really like the finished product and it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to do/manufacture. Please and Thank you

Looks awesome! It'd be nice to be able to add lights to the bumper withough drilling any holes.

I didnt want to have to drill into the front bumper nor remove any of it to access underneath to secure any bolts! The existing light tabs are strong, work great for my lightbar. Since all of my wire harness connections are at the lights themselves, I can easily remove the lights and bar in a matter of minutes.

For anyone who wants more info on my lightbar, post another message with your questions, I will be happy to answer.

I have more close-up photos of the lightbar I had made for mounting additional lights on the front of my 05 Liberty Renegade. Again, no bumper removal required and no drilling. The entire bar mounts using the factory fog bumper mount and screw. Also, really easy to remove if necessary. The lightbar is made from hollow tubular steel (rounded rectangular shaped). This keeps the weight down, but was more than strong enough to hold the lights steady. No bouncing.

The additional pics should provide sufficient details to allow you to fab one.

PM if you would like me to email you the pics.
4wdParakeet, Katmandu: you asked for more info, send me an email address.

I apologize for the very late response. Work demands have kept me busy lately.

Kind Regards,

John Snyder
