So your wanting it like this?, but with the fender flare on. Mine was like this for about 2 months and I thought it was the biggest pain in the butt I had to clean it really good every time after I went mudding or something, mine came off by accident tho

No, no, I am a foolish mall/ shop driver who made a big mistake puttting on too big tires :x

I should have listened to you folks, but now the thousand dollars are spent and I have to do something to get my Jeep on the road again ;--((

I have now ripped of all the fasternes, but the d.. thing is not eager to come of, I must have missed one fasterner ?
The tires are so big and heavy that i am very reluctant to mount them off, a garage helped me putting them on....

Image

EDIT:

Done!
The first one, left side behind windscreen washer took me two hours, the second I ripped OFF within 15 minutes! Practise, practise ....

I have encountered a small problem -- the d... fenders itself, who is made of plastic (urgh), was also nearly ripped of. I managed to squeeze them on again,
where can I buy new fasteners?
Problem two, should I cover the washer tank with "something"?

But at last - no rubbing!!
I am back on the road -- thank you all!

The reason many manyfactures went with the liners is it is slightly cheaper and more environmental than the spray on stuff. If sprayed correctly, it will actually do a better job than the liner.

i just removed my front liners yesterday. took each wheel off as it is almost impossible to hammer the pinch weld with the wheel on.

took about 2.5 hrs to to both sides.

wanst as hard as i thought it would be on the pinch welds.

sprayed three coats of undercoating, so that should keep it in nice shape for a while..

Sorry for my impatience, I repeat my three unsolved problems:

a) Should I stiffen the front fender with something ?

b) Should I cover the windhield tank with something?

c) Should I cover the fog light housing with something

d) should I do something with the pitch weld anymore but cover it with good coating.

I still need a alternator pulley to get this jeep off-road, happy and dirty ....

How's the noise with fender liner removed? I would think it would be pretty loud as road debris get kicked up and bounced around.

Are the flares weaker when the wheel well lining is removed? It seems the lining supports the outside of the flares.... I might do this mod now the washer bottle is smashed and the linings are worn and torn.

Just remove them and use a undercoating to spray in to protect. Did mine before it even had 1000 miles on it.

Ah, good to know.

I'd better take a closer look at those pins, thought they were nested pins like the cowl grill retainers.
