I now have 600 miles on the rear gears and 400 miles on the front gears. I decided tonight was a good time for a 3.73 versus 4.10 acceleration test. While my Revos, even in the rain, still don't let me spin the tires, there is definitely a noticeable increase in acceleration. Surprisingly, top speed and RPM don't seam to be too affected by the new gears. I don't think the front gears are really being broken in during street driving, as they don't experience any load and only wear on the coast side. I'll need to initially take it easy on the trails to get them hardened. I'll do a 0-60 test in the next few days when it's dry out.

I'm happy I did the swap, but noticed the same things. Accelleration is definately better with the 4.10s, but 5th gear s is still pretty much a dead fish

I'm looking for crawling comparisons. Wheeling downhill/uphill performance improvements? Notice any changes w/ trans hunting while pulling grades in OD or D on road?

JJ - I had a lot of improvement. Here in Colorado my KJ couldn't hardly stay in OD at all. Now I can go up moderate grades in OD (sometimes even accelerate a little!). I'm pleased I made the change.
