full locker installs should be done either by professionals or at least by someone with a pretty good background in installing lockers and gears. it really isnt something you can just pick up a set of instructions and do. it is possible, but screwing it up can become pretty costly if you are just swapping out the spiders for something like a ez locker then it isnt a big deal because you arent messing with the ring and pinion. full lockers require you to disassemble and remount the ring gear so you have to reset everythign which is where the experience comes into play if i remember right, an arb install on a straight axle was around 400 bucks, give or take a hundred depending on the shop. im not sure how much would be added because of the ifs. of course they might also charge you more to mount a tank (if you fo that route) and the compressor and run all the lines |

If he offers discounts on the much need compressor and other accessories, it might be worth going in heavy debt for it. |

I'm assuming you are talking about the ARB for the rear. I've got one and am looking for the RD100 for the front. The shop that did my install took and charged me for 2 hours of labor. I did the compressor mount, switches and wiring myself. |

Just to be sure that everyone is on the same page...The KJ with the corp 8 1/4 ...it is a 29 spline and the ARB for it is made JUST for the KJ. The KJ has a tone ring in the rear diff and you have to be SURE that you are getting the right on JUST for the KJ. If you place an order for just an ole 8 1/4 even if the spline count is correct...you are not getting the correct one and this will be a real problem for dang sure. Hope this helps. later...Clint |

Hey guys... I checked this guy out. He isn't a distributor of ours, and he is listing the goods for well below our MAP (Minimum Advertised Price). I called the number and got the run around. Also, the link you put up goes to a 27 spline. which would be a dead stock item for him as they don't make em anymore. I would be careful with this deal. It doesn't sound kosher to me... if you're interested in doing a group buy, I might be able to facilitate it through a reputable dealer or possibly from us direct. Work it out here, get me one point of contact, and I'll help you guys out. Good luck! |

my02, "everyone" isnt complaining, but at the same time, nobody wants to get screwed on shady deal. arbseth works for arb and is telling us this guy isnt even a dealer. prob be alot safer to let arbseth try to work us a deal. if the price is too high then you can always try the other guy seth, group buy or not i am still interested and would be grateful if you could set up any kind of discount. i am looking for the rear locker and compressor. if i remember right, the compressor comes with the lines and wiring harness so that should be all that is needed. not interested in airing up with it so a tank isnt necessary right now. thx |

if you guys will give me a week or so I can get something going on this or maybe Seth can help. I dont want to put him in a tight spot so give me a week and I will see what we can get going. I know a few shops that are real dealers and we might get a better deal like that anyway. Thnaks guys. Later...Clint |

I know it would be easy for Clint, but if it works well for everyone else, Quinn at All J is set up as a vendor already. I'd be more than happy to hook you guys up on a buy through him, Rusty's in AL or any of our other REPUTABLE dealers. If I haven't heard of em, you probably don't want to buy from em... Get enough together (lets say 5 w/ compressors), and I may be able to take it to the MAN and get them to you directly. Otherwise, the best I can do is give a dealer a price break to save you guys some money. I'm sure most of you guys know that we make it a habit not to sell retail, so I may have to beg ![]() Good luck, lemme know what you want to do, and we'll see what happens. |

Seth, tell the big dogs that they are supporting a new niche. KJ's! We'll get the word out even more for them. More free advertising and word of mouth. Word of mouth is the most powerful advertising. Include an ARB sticker (not sure if that is standard) and a majority of those buying one from here would add it to their KJ, somewhere. Boom! More advertising to the KJ community. |

I actually meant with the purchase of the ARB locker....Rusty's included a couple with his lift. Didn't get one in the Mile Marker purchase, but it did come with a black hat with the Mile Marker patch logo on it. Would rather of had the sticker than the hat. I won't put a sticker on my vehicle if I don't have the product. I gotsta have it to showcase it. Thanks for the free offer. I'll earn my sticker the bank draining way.....or go sell Plasma for awhile. |
