My part time light comes on when I'm in 2high. It goes off when I go into 4high. I can feel it shift when going from 2high-4high so I know its working ok so could this just be a sensor somewhere and is there a way I could fix this on my own?

Any replies appreciated.

I've never had an indicator light for 4-lo, just 4-hi (or "Part-Time").

Alpine head unit, Alpine Amps (40 x 4 + 500 x 1) 4 polk db650s and two 10" Polk subs.

Probably the transfer case position sensor. It is on top drivers side of the t-case and should have a 2 wire plug attached to it.

interesting, I get a light on the dash that comes on in low range that says 4LO, and in part time, I get the lamp that lights up next to the e-brake light. the 4LO light is one of the circle ones scattered in with the rest on the dash.
