Post subject:  Help in Shock Absorbers

Hi,
I am looking for a new set (of 4) shocks absorbers for my Jeep, which one I should go for? Last year I installed the OEM shock, they are not good at all, so I am going for something else. What do you recommend?
I want good one, not so strong or so soft.

Thanks

My car:

I havnt tried them yet, but when I upgrade/replace it will be with Old Man Emu (OME) parts.

OME's are the best,Rancho is another option.Just get the Rancho rear shocks for a unlifted Durango(17004's) if you are lifted.

The beauty of Old Man Emu shocks is that they offer differnt ride levels. so you are not stuck with the ones that feel like a solid steel rod or on the OEM factory marshmellow ones.

Ok, guys
All of you said that the Old Man Emu (OME) is the best, but what about Monroe Rancho Sensa-Trac? They are on mind also.
Actually I am planning to lift it 1.5” front & 2.0” rear. What are the options?
And where are the best places to buy from, note that I am not from US, so I need to buy from the Internet.

Thanks guys :)

If you plan on lifting th kj the I would recommend just ordering the complete OME lift since you would have to find out what size(part #) of monore shocks/struts to use on a lifted kj since they are different then stock!!? Iam not aware of anyone using these shock/struts but i guess aomeone has to try it first. I would find a OME lift and get all the right parts the fisrt time and then you also know that what you are buying has been proven to be a Great upgrade for you kj.The OME suspension lift will give you 2" of lift roughly.

* Ebay had some OME lifts

So, is there any deference between the Socks that I use when I lift the vehicle? Where are the best places to buy the OME.

Thanks

OME has a worldwide distribution. You should be able to pickup this info on the ARB site. Their dealers and distribution centers should be listed for your area.

That is a link to the international information request form. That is supposed to be forwarded to the dealer nearest you so that they can contact you.
