Hello again everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has investigated jump seats for the back of Lib's? I know they are available for virtually every other suv out there, including CRV's, so I don't think size is an issue. It wouldn't be the kind of thing I would use all the time, but for more than 5, having an extra seat belt would be nice. I realize this is not an optimal situation but it might allow me to retain my Liberty versus changing out for a larger vehicle.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

If for a child, i imagine it wouldn't be too dificult to adapt some small racing buckets to the back w/ some brackets. Not sure about the safety of that kind of setup, You would have to figure out a way to hook belts into the current belt mounts maybe?

I think this was discussed earlier and it was concluded that the rear has a large crumple zone so it would not be safe. I may be wrong though.

Thanks for the feedback - I agree with everyone's assessment. I also spoke to one of the third seat manufacturers and they said that while they make 3rd seats for a number of suv's including ones that are of a similar size to the liberty, the fact that the back seats are situated so far back, it makes the rear area too small.

I am trying to find a way to keep this vehicle, but it isn't looking good.

Anybody interested in a CRD with 2K?
