search under "mopar parts" instead of "accessories" and you'll find the one djformi is talking about. if you search for that same part number under accessories you get one with no discount at (i think) 449 or something. and finally, the light bar listed under accessories that you find without a search is indeed 381.65. so everyone is right! yay!!! group hug!!! seriously though, i dont know why the one under "mopar parts" is less, but it is. They seem to be the same thing... they do charge a minimum of 8.50 for shipping. at that price, the total comes out to 376.50, which is lower then jparts. but, they estimate 10-15% of order price in shipping. 10% of 368 is 36.80, obviously, and thats pricey... |

How much are these things used? Don't you need the relay and switch to hook this up and drill holes in your roof? Is it better just to mount aftermarket lights on your basket? |

You will need to but all these parts as well as a wire harnes, switch relay andthe nutzerts to bolt it to your roof. And then hope like hell nothing leaks. I plan to use the roof rack I am getting as a location for the lights.

i just think that light bar looks great. i really like it when stuff looks like it was designed to fit the vehicle. |

You definitely won't be drilling into your roof if you add lights to a roof-rack setup. Also consider that you will probably be able to point any lights you mount to a basket, while the ones in the lightbar are as is. |

I understand. The first thing u need to make sure of is that you have the plug in for the light bar already wired. It is located inside the a pilar (Where the grab handle is, on the driverside. MANY of the KJ's have this plug just sitting there and some don't, so I have heard. This is where the light harnes plugs into and then runs up inside the headliner to the lights and penatrates the roof. good luck |

I always aim at least one into the trees to look for snipers and another two directly into on comming traffic for that occassional butt head who wont dim his brights. Use a basket, Looks more Jeep like anyway, that light bar i always thought looked like mickey mouse ears. |

http://www.autotrucktoys.com/liberty/Mo ... 8C513.aspx found this today. Roof basket with lights. 2 or 4 lights, but huge price difference between 2 and 4. I was thinking might be able to add aftermarket lights to the basic basket for a lot cheaper??? basket and 2 lights is like 380ish shipped I do like the look of the mopar light bar, but I have a feeling I will be "donating" plenty of money to them over the life of my Jeep in parts and service... |

Use a basket, Looks more Jeep like anyway, that light bar i always thought looked like mickey mouse ears. Agreed on all points. Johnboy, that link is for just the lights, either 2 or 4 Hellas with the wiring and mounting brackets made specifically for the lights and the roof basket pictured. I've I'm seeing straight, that's a excessively expensive. Four Hella 500s driving lights work great on a roof basket for at least a handful of us LOST KJers, and a full kit with a pair of lamps is ~$70 at your local auto-parts store. $140 for the lights and some homemade mounting solutions is the most bang for your buck for good offroad lighting, IMO. |

As sweet as it looks not to mention that the RENY light bar is just as pricy I think a little ingenuity could be just as nice if you play with a little fiberglass I bet you could get just as trick |
