I got Rusty's & love it, I would've gotten the Franken but budget didn't allow at the time
all in all I'm very satisfied
I don't know what all this sagging talk is but mine has been fine & I've wheeled it pretty hard

If I were to buy one of the above full suspension lifts, what else would be needed other than what is offered? I didnt realize there was a Frankie II and II Premium (or whatever it was), and Rusty's also offers other things to buy along with their kit as well. Looking to price everything out as if I were to buy everything needed to minize as many potential problems I can in the future (doing it right the first time). I know the Frankenlift is the best lift out there for the KJ, just trying to figure out what everything will cost so I dont have problems and then pick a lift out of the two. |

Well with the Frankenlift as you know it is all together so just unbolt and bolt back on. Nothing else is needed, just tools, jack, kack stands etc. With the Rustys spring lift you will need to buy spring compressors or take them somewhere ( lots easier) to have the springs compressed on. then put everything on. The differences in the Frankenlift are if gas, diesel upgraded OME Struts/ rear shocks etc. Call AllJs and tell them what you want your Liberty to do and they will help you deceide which works for you. |

That sways me a little bit, didnt think about the frankenlift coming all together. I'm going to see if I can find someone with the tools and knowledge to help me, if not going to have to find a shop so in the long run it sounds like the Frankenlift would be cheaper (in terms of labor). Should I go with the original or upgrade to II or II premium? |

Some people need the Jeepin Al's Upper Control Arms due to problems with their Frankie. Some don't. Hit or miss. Those things are not cheap. Rusty's lift....nobody has had problems where they needed Al's UCA's. |

I vote for the frankenlift, compressing the strut is a hassle and can be very dangerous. I ended up putting spacers front and rear on my Rusty's lift after about 9 months since it sagged to about 2 inches. Rusty's lift rides really nice, but I think my rear shocks are shot after a year and a half. If I were to do it over again I would go frankenlift, even though I am pretty happy with Rusty's lift. |

Which is better for a CRD owner? Assuming the Frankie is the CRD appropriate lift. Are there many CRD owners with the Rusty's lift? |

Don't know of any, most go with the frankenlift CRD lift or a spacer lift like the Daystar 2.0 There is some geometry differences in the front suspension between the gassers and the CRD's that prevent the CRD from being lifted over 2.5, and the folks at All J's have figured it out. I wouldnt get the rustys lift if you have the CRD. The rustys lift has been known to sag over time with an ARB bumper so it would with a crd too. |

Thanks guys. Bugnout- I did see that thread. Interesting stuff. All of my mods are still a couple years down the road, but I'm going to know everything there is to know when the time comes. Who knows there may be a 5-6" lift by then. In the end I just want my CRD to be all that it can be with the right parts. |
