Post subject:  tires

I am wondering how big of a tire I can get without destroying my milage. I am running 245/75's right now all of them time. But I am wanting to get another set for pavement driving. I figured I could just go back to stock size but wanted some other options. any ideas?

I have a CRD and 245/70s didn't seem to change the mileage or speedo. The rack and light bar will also not help you any. Even the stock sized BFG ATs seem to decrease mpg some.

235/75/16's are a good choice... ~29.8"

well the light bar and the rack are off for right now those only go on when I am going on an excursion somewhere. I was thinking on some 235/75's or 240/70's. I may look into those if they don't affect the milage much. any other ideas?

Yes, taller & narrower tires give you better gas mialage.

depends on rolling resistance
