I was just talking to a guy in a local shop and he just got a $1,000 fine  for running driving lights on the front of his rig without opaque covers. It was daytime, and the lights were not on. Sounds like the law enforcement is toughening up locally.....I'm thinking of pulling off the PIAAs (no opaque cover) and throwing on one of these

which, as a "spotlight" is legal in this province, in fact you can have two. Go friggin figure. :!:

why not just go buy some covers?? yea it is illegal but most cops kinda overlook it since its more paper work and really not hurting anything, but that might just be my local cops.

I know the local PD in SD won't bother with you if you don't have the covers on,it's just a $20 ticket. They wait till they see them on,then it's $600 per light on besides the headlights and OEM foglamps.

$600 per light! It makes me wonder why some areas feel it's OK to have road lights, and use them, and other places will give you a huge fine. Does anybody know if PIAA makes opaque covers? I haven't been able to find any, and don't remember seeing them. Maybe I'll just slip some cardboard in behind the grilles :D
