I will say it doesn't matter if it's Model I or #II 
I just purchased a series I from amother L.O.S.T. member who had just got a series II for his birthday I am happy with the series I the only difference is the II is a little smaller and have different color screen options. I t just doesn't matter what ever series you get you will be happy with it in the long run . Yes it's a toy, but it's a Big Boy Toy. Get either one you will love it. LEAD  FOLLOWor GET OUT of THE WAY

Nice, little tool and the price is good too. Many CRD owners have them as for some strange reason many seem to have a strange problem with the CEL remaining lit.
