its still a cool advertisement I wondered that too, but he does get some nice air, but when he lands it looks like he bottoms out, I wonder if they had any problems with the control arms or ball joints with that jump. Either way still a pretty cool commercial. |

He comes off incline there:
Anyone noticed "Do not attempt" I didn't, maybe it is too small to see, or maybe it is not there, so GO OUT AND ATTEMPT! |

so he does bottom out looks like on maybe his front diff, oil pan area. But your right I didn't see "Do not attempt" or "professional driver......." Somebody go attempt and video yourself so we can see what really happens when you jump the libbi. |

I've caught air twice in my KJ. Once when I was new to 'wheeling and dumb. It hurt. The second time I was smarter and more seasoned and yet somehow still dumb. KJ's are NOT rally cars or baja racers. Too much weight and not enough cushion = bad things Of course I expect to do it again at some juncture given my overpowering innate dumbness. Some things never change. HA! |

How many jeeps do you see? AND Can you name all the models shown? Let me see here Willys MB, CJ3, Willys Station Wagon?, Jeep Wagoneer, Jeepster Commando, CJ7, CJ5, CJ8, Wagoneer/Cherokee, XJ Cherokee, TJ Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, JK Wrangler. Total seen: 14. BTW, IMHO, This is the best Jeep Commercial I've ever seen. My Favorite scene was the Coyote/Road Runner chase. |

Wow some great vids. I sure am glad I watched that first one. I used to have a '90 XJ and getting in air in that was no prob b/c it was so light. There was a road I was planning on finding again so I could do it in my Libby but I think I'll pass after seeing that. Is that what our front end looks like when we bottom out? Does that worry anyone else? What do you do if you bottom out in a rut and there happens to be a tree stump or a half buried rock in the middle? It looks like you would be seriously f'd. I guess the only way around that is with larger tires? |
