I believed my father, the original owner of the vehicle, when he told me the Liberty had ABS. I had to get new hubs recently so I ordered them with ABS sensors. When they got here, I got under the Liberty to look for the sensors but couldn't find them. I turned the ignition to ON to see if the ABS light came on like it should according to the manual, but it didn't...so I'm guessing I don't have ABS

(still waiting for build-sheet from Jeep). The cost of returning the hubs for non-ABS hubs would offset the price difference of the two items, so I was wondering if there'd be anything wrong with just removing the sensor cables and using the hubs as-is? Does the sensor affect the hub itself, and will not using it make a difference? I'd think I could just remove the bolt that holds the sensor cable on and be fine with the sensor still inside the hub but not in use. I want to make sure, though. Thanks for any help guys and gals!
