Well I think I am going to purchase the daystar 2.5" Front & Rear Spacer kit & upper strut plate as my first lift fot the KJ since its on sale anyways. I have a questsion if I need to buy anything else with that kit to be able to use it or is it full kit? I want to know if I need to buy some shocks or struts or could I just install in on all factory set up and run it? i know that suspension lifts are way better but for now the spacer lift will do just fine. Anything other info you guys can give me would be great before I buy it. Does anybody has instructions on how to install it or know where I can get some? thank you very much and please don't go off on me for not getting a suspension lift, I would love to but few things came up that restricted the finances. |

How much $$ on sale? I have a used one coming off my KJ here soon that will be for sale. I would suggest new shocks and struts for it regardless of what you get. |

Yes even if yours has 1500 miles upgrade to aftermarket shocks/struts as JJsKj said. Nows the time to do it. You will be glad you did. ![]() Tom |

right? Correct but you will regret it if you don't and have old original shocks and struts. I'll give you a great deal on my used Daystar and you can afford new struts for it. I see All J's has it on sale..... ![]() |

I ran the Daystar lift with the stock shocks and struts for a couple of years and absolutely hated it. Until I upgraded to Rancho shocks and struts, my KJ rode like a roller skate. Imagine driving around for 2 years in something that rode like a go-cart and that would give you an idea of what I was dealing with. The rear end was so extremely limited in the amount of articulation that it actually flexed worse than stock. Just changing out to the Ranchos made a night and day difference to the daily driving and the wheeling. BTW, with the stock parts, I ended up breaking 3 struts and a top plate before I had even hit a trail. They were all broken on washboard. |
