What significance is the tone ring if you have no ABS? I here the speedO operates off this???? Any Computer issues?

I would like to replace my DANA 35 tone ring CRAP with Non-tone ring parts.
so I can obtain something besides this No-slip as an alternative to replacing my axle.

I run 245/70's and don't bind or crawl so I believe this 35 can hold up for my purpose.

Does anyone know the effects?

the tone ring ins in the rear diff. it is used for the speedo but also the computer would have a real problem with out it. You would think that just your speedo would not work...but it causes a lot of toher problems as well.

Might not be a bad deal to look into upgrading to a corp 8 1/4...I have often wondered if the Ford 8.8 would work out as well. It also has a tone ring in the rear and is 31 spline for some heavy duty use. later...Clint
