| Post subject: | Another backup light question |
I put 3 driving lights on my basket, the small rectangular ones with 50 watts each. I had 1 left over so I put it on the back of the basket for a backup light. I'm not happy with it. I think what I need is a flood light. Something that will be small but still flood the area with light. Any suggestions? Nothing super bright either. Terry |

I wonder how a rectangular head light would work, on low beam? Terry |

that would be awfully big wouldnt it? depth etc ? Trying to find a set of fog lights now in like a 3 x5 or so fogs throw more light closer etc. Getting a nice collection of lights now have two 6 inch floods , too big, look bulky on the rack in back two 3 inch 55 watt driving pattern too narrow of a pattern up close like we need two 5 inch aircraft landing lights.....again great for long distance but not up close! |

Try a 4" round tractor flood light, some auto parts stores will carry them.If you happen to have a Tractore Supply Company store around they will have them, cheap(about $10-$15),sealed beam, and have a rubber case for vibrations. |

I put some 4" dia. floods on my ATV, $10 per from Northern Tool and Equipment. They work great. On the KJ I have some Kragen specials, which are crap, but fairly cheap. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/798121/8 Here are some pictures (at the bottom) Stephen |
