The "door check" on the drivers door started making this sound a while ago: CRACKcreakSMACK.

Highly annoying, every time I open or close the door.

The cheapest I could find was about $63. Anyone else have this happen? How hard is it to take the plastic door panel off?

I tried white lithium grease, but then I noticed the bar thing is cracked. It kind of claps together when it moves. Bleedin loud too. The end that goes into the door is kind of bent up too.

Mine were making that noise from get go, I took it back to dealer, they fixed it under warranty, after about 5000 more miles, it came back, it is like clap LAKKK clap, when you open it wide, is that it?

yeah take pix. :) if you are taking the interior trim apart, just remove two screws and pull it hard to un-clip the clips.
