I want to get tow hooks for the front and rear of my Jeep. I’d like to install them myself but I don’t want to do any cutting to the frame or bumper. Can someone recommend the right product? I tried to search for a link in the tech section & general section but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

Also, if anyone has installed the hooks on their jeep could you walk me through what I’m in for? I’m hoping that I can just reach in and bolt them on. Is it that simple or do I need to remove the bumper and other parts? Are there holes in the frame already or do I need to drill them? Will I need any special tools?

Thanks!

The tow hooks come as a kit with the mounting bracket, bolts etc. go to jpparts or another supplier and they can get them for you, depending on your year you may have to do some bumper trimming but its not bad

On my 2005, mopar front hooks were easy to install ($103 for the pair though). Holes are there, easy bolt on. Took me a while to figure out I need to feed the U bolt up throught the hole in the frame and down the other hole (dont let go of it in there or you might loose it...) , as the unibody frame is a solid boxed end in the front. Also had to cut out pre-perforated bits of the bumper cover, easy with a tiny pnuematic wheel grinder. They look good and are rated at 5K#. Dont know about the back, I have a farm clevis for the reciever hitch.

You can't have tow hooks + a hitch (this applies to the front and back of your Liberty)

In your sig you list a 2004 model year. The openings in the front bumper cover should allow you direct acess to the holes where you attach the front hooks.

Unfortunately the mpoar hooks are the best to go with because of the mounting brackets an no need for cutting or anything else(except maybe the plastic bumper.

i just installed the mopar hooks on the front of my 03. easy. you need to pop a few rivets from inside the wheel well. remove the grille to get to the rivets for the bumper. two bolts under the bumper and the bumper should come off. remove the two metal boxes that block the area that the hooks fall into. insert the hooks and do everything in reverse. im no mech but i did it with no problem. im sure the 04 should be pretty much the same.
