You can go with some 245/70R16's with a pre-lowered without having to pound the pinch welds. That's the size I used to run. I'm currently running some 245/65R17 Destination AT's that I really like, but I don't use it for trails. They handle the snow and ice here in KY with no problems, and do fine on hilly gravel roads too. I've also heard good things about the Grabber AT2's and the Wrangler Silent Armors.
Thanks.
But I have a few questions for you, KY Liberty.
First is how come you haven't logged on and sent me stuff for the BluegrassLOST.com site?
How can you have a 2001 liberty? and are you running 245/65R17's or 245/65R16's?
And I am sure you have heard good things about the Silent Armors, at over $180.00 a pop they had better be good.
Any feelings about Kuhmo's? I ran them on my XJ's for years and not a lick of trouble. Quite the opposite. I ALWAYS got out of anything I was in.
Thanks all for the input
Haven't done anything with BluegrassLost yet since I simply haven't had any spare time. I work as a full time systems engineer, and I'm also a forensic computer analyst and the vice president of a computer forensics firm that works on a lot of military contracts. I was actually on the site last night looking around, and was going to get all my info onto it as soon as I get the lift and hopefully 255/70R17 Destination AT's installed instead of doing everything twice, one month apart.
My Liberty is a June 2001 build. It's a 2002 model. I used to have Michelin Cross Terrain 245/70R16's on the stock limited 16x7 rims, but now I run 245/65R17 Destination AT's on 2005 limited 17x7.5 rims. I went with them to save a huge amount of money over the Silent Armors, and because I had heard that there is a big hit on gas milage with them. I don't know about the Kuhmos. I don't know anyone that has had them.
