I ordered the xfer skid # 82209455, fuel tank skid # 82206122, and tranny skid # 52128925AC for my CRD from one of the local dealers. The dealer told me he found another number for the xfer skid and sold me part #52129091AA List for this number is only $16 and he gave it to me for $11.52 |

I think the difference is that the 8220 numbers are proper retail packaged parts (with instructions and all the necessary hardware) whilst the 5212 parts are 'factory replacement' or somesuch, so they come without all the nice bits. And are cheaper! $11.52? Bargain! I've just had a transfer case skid fitted to my KJ here in Aus; AU$115.00 for the parts plus AU$65 fitting! (that's nearly US$140 total!) - the transmission skid I ordered from the US for like 30 bucks and fitted myself in about 15 minutes. Shipping was nearly $100 though, it was a bit heavy! Would someone like to adopt me so I can come and live in the US where Jeep parts are cheap? |

So if I go to my dealership and ask for #52129091AA, is even the $16 a good price? Sounds cheap for a skid? Is that right? |
