Well i first noticed this noise while i was in a back up yesterday and had the radio off as i would creep forward in the backup i hear this noise kinda like the sound you here when you blow in a glass bottle of root beer. Well once i got goin it went away and never herad it anymore well today started up hit reverse and backed up and sure enough woooooot woooooot woooooot i hear in the rear alittle louder than when i was in the back up i hit drive hear it slightly once and never again today i even went to a empty parky lot and tryed to replicate it but couldnt so im lost. only got six thousand miles and all seems well besides that. anyone got any ideas as to what it is? |

well just went out again and put it in drive and let of brake it slowly creeps forward and it makes a moaning sound like wooot wooot woot think it could be the brakes rubbing ? and y? |

mine makes that noise and i have the same ammount of mile as you as well. im thinking its the brakes rubbing. either that or one of the mechanical parts to teh drive line like the prop shaft or rear diff. i would get it looked at but im tired of taking it to the dealer... |

My 03 made a sound similar to that. It was the rear brakes. I had to replace the pads at about 30,000 kilometers (18k miles) I think it was. There was a TSB about that a few years ago but I don't remember which years were affected. The 03s for sure. |

Drive it some after letting it sit. Rust builds up on the rear rotors and can cause a moaning sound. Wont hurt anything. Mine has done it since new but stopped a few k's ago. |

my 04 does this but up front as your slowing down to stop at a light or just as your taking off the faster you go the less it is sounds like right front actualy but I have new brakes & rotors all around ( disc brake rear) for just a few months now |
