Not in warranty either. Suggestions on an easy and clean way to keep it up so my KJ doesn't come up missing? |

eh nevermind I used some nylon bike tire removers and wedged them inbetween the window and the seal/door panel. Hopefully that will do the trick until I decide to shell the money to replace it. If you have a better way I'd still like to read about it and adjust sinec it will be at least a month with a jacked up window.. |

I found that earlier. Thanks for the repost it should make it easier to find later. I might try that as it would save me a few $$$ in labor costs. |

I had somewhat of the same problem when i bought my kj. 2 days later the pass side window fell down pulled the door panel and found the pin and clip in the bottom of the door. I reinstalled it and it's been fine for 2+ years. |

did you still hear it when you pushed the button? I still hear a whirl sound. Clicking is gone. Clicking before it started to slide makes me think it is the window regulator from my reading on here. |

Yeah yours sound like it may be a broken regulator. If i remember correctly they are pretty cheap like $60-$80 for the part.. |

Are your windows tinted? Just curious. My 07 broke a retaining clip in the driverside window and the stealership said it was the tint. I thought he was pulling my chain. He said the change in texture and thickness in the channel along the front (behind the mirror mount, on the inside) where the window comes up, it grabs the windo moulding and causes the windo to bind forcing the front to dip down as it goes up. Again I thought i was gettint the "Stealership Shuffle." That time it broke the clip. they fixed it and all is fine. It started to grab again and on a visit to the stealership a tech told me it was true. It is the poorly designed regulator with the clips that hold the window along the bottom being too close together, allowing the window to rock back and forth. Howerver, the application of window film does cause it to grab in the front putting strain on the rear regulator clip. He demonstrated this as he applied silocone lube (amorall) to the windo weather stripping. Grabbing gone. He said it is a crappy design but agrevated by the weatherstripping and possibly windo tinitng. When you do you regular maintanence, applie silocone to the front weaterstrip of the windows, and hope that helps while we wait for Chrysler to redesign and recall. |

Stupid question (maybe) but doesn't silicone adversly effect rubber? I thought that it makes it crack. -Mark |

I had our 02 GC in for warranty work on the pass side door reg. I told the tech that my 03 Liberty's lt rear pass side window grunted/dragged when i rolled it down. He said, it is common wiht the Lib's, they use a razor knife and trim the seal, |

Windows are indeed tinted. Nice thing was, I didn't even use the window until I noticed wind noise and looked back to see the rear window slowly creeping down. That is when I hit the button and heard the clicking sound All I have to say it that is pretty crappy, when I don't even use the windows, still too hot in AZ. |

Well, I just realised that when the dealer "fixed" my rear passenger regulator, they made it impossible to open the door from the inside.... and no, I didn't accidentaly engage child safety on the doors... Looks like I will be going back to fix that problem sooner than later -Mark |

Looks like I will be going back to fix that problem sooner than later -Mark thats crappy, but you would almost be better off taking the 20mins and fixing it yourself rather than deal with them to correct their error. ya i know is poopy that you have to cleanup their mess, but sometimes that makes life easyer. |

My rear window reg went out with less than one year on the vehicle. At what point do we get recall status like the lbj's and get them replaced at the stealership free for life? This is bordering on ridiculous. Who knows what channels we need to get this done. Obvious faulty part...petition??phone calls?? |
