Just has a small chip filled and it looks great, but....

Now when the w/s wiper hits that particular section of w/shield, the wiper blade "flips" over and leaves a little streak of rubber in a line. 1st couple of passes aren't bad but in this weekend's heavy rain, it left a significant amt of rubber built up on the left side of my w/s. I'm gonna get new wipers tommorow and see if it fixes the probl.

Anyone know how to remove the rubber w/o scratching the w/s?

Anyone had a similar issue?

Brillo pad, just scrub it good, will not scratch the windshield, just cleans it good, but whats causing it to catch? Maybe have to take a razor blade and scrap over that area to get it cut down some to match the windshield?

Shaving blade should be able to take the rubber off without damaging the windshield, but it is really strange, that rubber gets left off.

What I always hated is that line in the middle of the windshield where the passenger side wiper ends, right in the middle.. there is that line which you can NEVER EVER get off.. Line disappeares when I wash it, but as soon as you put some water on it, the line re-appears.

lightly scrub the windshield with a Brillo/ SOS pad and the streak should come off. Old painters trick after you painted the car clean all the windows with an SOS and they would shine like new

I can't believe they patched your windshield and left a bump on the outside! That's not normal! Not that you can't fix it yourself, but I'd call up the company that did the patch and have them fix it.

That's the funny thing. There is no "bump"! I run my finger over it, nothing! Weird. BUT, when the water hits that area, it beads up funny around the whole area where the patch was applied. I think there may be a "sticky" area from the chemical he used to seal the patch even though I can't feel any. I'm gonna brillo it good and see what happens.

Try using a glass cleaner like "Invisible Glass" and then treating with a product like rain away or X-Rain. A microfiber towel will work the best.

I had the same issue when I got a chip filled. It feels perfect but I'm sure on a microscopic level, it's not. Don't forget to clean the blades too!

Worked for me anyway.
