My 03 sport has some Wierd problem after wheeling this weekend. When my part time 4x4 is NOT engaged my light in the dash says it is..... When I do put it in part time 4x4 the light goes off.... In other words it is completely @ss backwards. FYI My light for 4Low comes on fine.... and I don't have any other electrical problems. please advise.... |

Most likely just the indicator sensor to tell the BCM what range the t-case is in to light up the dash lights. It's fairly cheap and easy to replace,it's the only sensor on the t-case(just look for the wires). |

Confirmed. My 03 sport did that same thing a year or so ago. I never bothered to replace the sensor. It only showes you a light in your cluster display saying what you are in. When I go wheeling in 4H, my light does not come on. only 4Lo does. After i am out of 4H, the light will stay on for a few moments then it goes off. I pretty muched ignored this sensor. And I do not have any problems with any part of my 4wheel system |

Thanks you guys! I was worried I was messing up my computer. I'll just wait till my next oil change to have it looked at... This forum RULES and so does everyone in it! |

same problem, had it for almost a year now. one of these days I'll get it fixed. From what I found, it looks like it might be the sensor on the tcase. Dealer wants $75 for it. later, mike |

Chris, a friend at school had an 03' sport and it was the same way. It's a common problem as already many have mentioned..and I'm sure it'll be an easy fix. |
