Does Mopar/Jeep make a grille for the 05+ KJ that doesn't have the fog light holes? for the Sport/Ltd. I thought I have seen some Kj running around without the them before on the road.....

Well the only one for that year is the Renegade grill but I don't think it'd work on a sport/ltd without changing the whole front clip.

Here is an '06 ltd

and an '05 Renegade

There are no holes for the fog lights on my renegade but as you can see the top is very different. I do believe that the '05+ KJs without fog lights have a grill insert. Would that work?

well if your familiar with my TrailReady Fiasco, it looks like I might get it to work with a few minor adjustments. But I will most likely loose my OEM fogs on my Ltd. so I figured if the bumper doesn't fully cover them up I would just d/c them and put on a new grill with out the fog light holes.

Yeah I figured that was your plan. Or at least something similar. I can't say I've seen any '05+ non renegades without those holes. For the '05+ though I don't think it would be as hard to swap out the front clip but you would probably still need the renegade hood. It's a tough predicament.

Now when you do get everything figured out, I'd love to see your KJ at some of our runs. Those pics are from Calico which isn't too far from Vegas. Haven't wheeled with a CRD yet

well im sure if i really wanted to I could fabricate something to cover up the holes. I was just looking for an ez fix. Oh I plan on hitting every run I can here in the near future, Just got my lift and armor. I was hoping the bumper would have just went on with out a hitch.

Yeah I think it'd look cool without those holes. Look forward to seeing you on the trails. As for the bumper, if anyone else gets one you'll be the expert now

All the non Renegade grills have those fog-light holes. The Sports that didn't have lights just have blank holes.

Personally, I want to replace my Limited grill/hood with an 05 Rene grill/hood, but it keeps falling off the budget list. I'd rather spend the money on clearance, skids, and traction. Maybe...someday, I'll do the CRD Rene mod, but it'll be a while.

In the meantime, when I upgrade from my stock fogs, I'm going to mimic the Rene bumper location and just leave the holes in the grill empty.
