When I rented a 2 wheel dolly to tow FastTRX home from wheeling. Uhaul's book showed the KJ at about 4900 and the CRD at 5100 stock.

Steel wheels - about 20lbs heavier than the alloys = 100lbs
Tires - traxis or MT/R's should add another 15lbs to 20lbs per wheel = 75lbs
Better skid plates -- 20-50lbs
Rocklizard bumper -- 100lbs
ARB front -- 100lbs,
tools, jelly donuts...

I think it all adds up...

What are your MPG figures Troy? I'm sure they aren't good with all that weight, but how are they with the 265s?

Stock kj is around 4k. A stock WK is 4,600. No way a stock kj(even with the CRD) weighs more than a WK with the Hemi.

look at the sticker inside the driver's door, i remember mine said something like 5200 lbs GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) internet says around 5300 for a libby. Is this not the right weight for the car? if it is, then some of you are missing about 500 lbs from your car... haha..... I could be entirely wrong, but stickers printed on car typically tend to be fact... anyways just a thought

Well, according to Wikipedia (if Wikipedia says it, it must be true)... A gross vehicle weight rating is the maximum allowable total weight of a road vehicle or trailer that is loaded, including the weight of the vehicle itself plus fuel, passengers, cargo, and trailer tongue weight.

I'm pretty sure the KJ weighs about 4,200 pounds if you have 4-wheel drive and skid plates.
