Some people at Chrysler are thinking of an ORT (off road technologie)devision, this could lead to aftermarket offroad parts direct from Jeep without warranty issues also this could mean you buy your next new Jeep lifted and with 33's direct from the dealer, sounds too good to be true!

Hopefully they'll do some backwards work for now-discontinued later-model vehicles like the KJ and WJ

The 4.5" long arm suspension for the JK is just another in a sea of the same crap in a different bucket (I'm almost surprised that Mopar doesn't ALREADY have a 4"+ long arm suspension for the JK), but I'd love a 2wd low kit for my NV231. Any word on who the suppliers will be, or will it just be Mopar's OEMs?

I know it all sounds great...but I personally wouldn't get my hopes up. Factory aftermarket parts are usually more expensive than what's already out there, and not always as good. I AM glad that the guy in charge is a CJ afficianado, but this also may mean that the non-open-top Jeeps are neglected.

Don't count on that warranty though. They already exclude a few vehicles from the lifetime warranty like the Viper and the Sprinter vans. Those things are always excluded from special financing or rebates etc. They'll probably just put in fine print "Excludes ORT equipped vehicles" or something to that effect.

i love it! see things like this when the d drops of the DC! Without the germans calling the shots i think that jeep and dodge are definatlly going to be gatting backs to the roots now and this may just be that start.
