All, Marty has committed himself to a big sale at Rock Lizard. GREAT price breaks on his GREAT stuff, and if enough people order stuff and get him so swamped that he can't get anything done and you don't get your stuff by Christmas, then shipping is FREE!!!!! Marty just told me that the free shipping ONLY APPLIES TO THE SLIDERS AND ONLY IF YOU DON'T GET THEM BEFORE CHRISTMAS 2010. Just kidding about the 2010 part, That's this Christmas. Sorry Marty had to spread the word. |

$4500??? Are you including paying someone to install that stuff? I still can't see those things you named costing anything close to that even with the need for matching powdercoating or paint. |

A Frankenlift II Premium, Al's uppers, rims, tires, bumper with jerry can and tire holders is going to around that price. Just added it up from their web site and allowed $1500 for tire and rims. |

Just added it up from their web site and allowed $1500 for tire and rims. $3017.56 for just the parts + shipping to Canada and applicable taxes at the border. It ain't cheap that's for sure. Makes a pretty kick@$$ libby though! $4500 was just a quick guestimate, but I wasn't that far off, especially if you include paying someone to install it. I'd do most of it myself, but still. N |

Hey, does this mean that my Skink Super Sliders are on the way? I really don't want to stand in the door sill in my ski boots while trying to switch to a different set of skis. The KJ's a lot taller than it was last year and I'm not. Edit: Just got my tracking number from Marty |

I've got to decide if I'm going to paint them, get them powdercoated, or Line-X'd. I'm leaning towards powdercoating and grip tape along the tops. I want to move on it pretty quickly because the ski season is just about here and I need the steps on them to reach the ski rack easier. |

If you powder coat or Line-X them the bottoms are just going to get scraped off, (if you use them over rocks of course) and then you spent the money for nothing. |

I plan to POR-15 undercoat mine then used their "Hard Nosed" Top coat. Stuff is supposed to be bullet proof, almost. People use that stuff on bulldozer blades and stuff. I had a set of Nerf bars from smitty built on my old XJ and with in 2 weeks i had rust from the rock and debris coming off the road. http://www.stoprust.net/POR-15-HARDNOSE-PAINT-Pint-p-103.html |

They're not actually going to be used to slide across rocks. My KJ is a daily driver, not a trail rig. However, I do want them to hold up well. How does the hard nosed paint work? How good does it look when finished? |

Well it's not a custome mixed color thing. Black is Black and it is a 2 part mix, which makes it very toxic with fumes. but all I have heard about it is it DOES NOT FADE. IT DOES NOT CHIP. IT DOES NOT PEAL!!!! like i said, it is UV safe, unlike the POR - 15 under coat. but it is as close to bullet proof as i have ever heard a paint can be. And it LOVEs moisture. humidity actually makes it harder. Go figure. With my all black KJ, on that part of the car, BLACK IS BLACK. not looking to "Color Match" there, just don't want any Rust Red. |

OK, just because I know some people are probably stuck at work, I'll have the phone handy until 8PM MST tonight, and from 9-noon tomorrow, and that will be the end of the sale. Only had one order during this sale but several interested, so I am extending it for that last minute chance. Also, I have an invoice number picked out that's not too far away that whoever orders by noon tomorrow and are on that invoice, then they will get an extra $100 off their order as long as it is one of my products (rear bumper with or without carriers, any sliders, any racks). Does not apply to lift kits, control arms, or shipping. If that invoice comes up and the discount doesn't apply, then the next invoice will get the discount. And one last thing for clarification since I noticed my sale was quoted incorrectly and I just want to clarify, that free shipping if you don't get your order by Christmas only applies to slider orders, as it is stated on my website. The free shipping doesn't apply to anything else if it doesn't arrive by Christmas. |
