I just smoked my girlfriends scissor jack and need a new one. Its a 03' KJ. Does anyone know where I could get one to replace it that actually works. That thing was crap that came with it. Its a stock daily driver so I'm not really looking at high lifts. Thanx |

2 to 6 ton bottle jacks work well. I found one at Checker, in a plastic case that fits under the smaller back seat very nicely. |

Go to a auto salvage and get a "bottle jack" from a F-350 or something similar. Will work well for the lifted KJ or unlifted. My scissor jack won't work anymore unless i put a rock under it or something Josh |

I bought one of the bottle jacks that came with the 2002 KJ's. it was in the case that bolts under the seat and everything. Got it off ebay for around $30. |

I agree. Idk why Jeep felt the need to use something like that. |

If you're just looking for a cheap replacement. Ebay. I've never even had mine out so i dont even know what it looks like. I agree the scissor jacks are junk. They are made to be compact and for emergency situations. No way in hell would i ever climb under a vehicle being held up by one of those. |
