When I needed an owners manual for my Liberty CRD, I down loaded it, when I needed a service manual, I bought it online and had a CD in the mail when I got home. When I needed a parts manual, I went to the MoPar parts site and down loaded it, all manuals are in a usable format (.pdf) that will work for a long time.
To save some bucks we took my Wifes TDI for the Thanksgiving trip. The power ports did not work so our cell phones both quit and needed a recharge, I load up my Bentley manual that uses a browser and I can't use it and all I get is errors, all I wanted is to know which fuse to look for. When I got home I went to the VW site and they have no online owner's manual available for my Wife's car. Although both companies have comparable quality products, Jeep takes care of their customers much better :!:

Factory service manuals, parts lists, and other assorted goodies:

EDIT:
And I dont think the vehicles have comparable quality, the Jeep IMO, is leaps and bounds above VW. Just had to get that little jab in there.

I got a hold of Bentley had to email them a form I had to fill out to get a code (and wait for it like a firearms purchase) just to install my software I paid for onto a newer computer and then had to shell out $20.00 to get an update so I don't get hung high and dry at the end of the year. All of this so I can replace a fuse on the power port circuit of my Wife's car.
My Jeep manuals just transfered to the new computer with a flash stick.

I don't see a service manual for a 05.
