just how much brighter are the fogs when you put the 9005's in them? Im getting ready to run out to wal-mart to get them and i dont want to waste $20 and they look the same. Im not putting the silver stars in them, just the 9005's.

Very bright from what I've heard. You're replacing a fog light with a headlight bulb.

one of the lights wasn't changed, as in left or right? or one of the pictures is of the lights before they were changed?

If it's an entire before picture, that's a HUGE difference. I wonder if there's an equivalent bulb for the 05 fogs...

In the first 3 pics, one of the ligthts were not changed, i wanted u all to see if u could figure out. The pass side is the one i had changed, the last pic, the one that says after, both of them were changed. That pic does not do them justice though, look at the before pics to see the difference.

hmm... I can't really tell any difference, unfortunately. I thought at first that the first photo was the before and the other three were the after. That would have been HUGE! But I suppose it's just a difference with the camera?

I actually changed them on my 02 and my 04 and it made a HUGE difference. I have not had any problems at all. All you have to do it trim one tab and I made a post on that is another thread about the same thing. later...Clint

skrracing, did u notice that the bulb is not seated as tight? Im afraid that water can now get in there, and it may also vibrate alittle. I can actually move it around in the hole alittle bit.

Jeepster, so you just took out the old fog bulbs and replaced them w/ 9005 but they don't fit completely flush?

Skrracing, did you put in the silver stars?

What mods are required to put the brightest fog bulbs in? Silver stars?

Is it just switching bulbs or cutting/trimming stuff too? I better search on your post skrracing.

Thanks

IMO the silverstars are the best way to go next to HID kits. I have the silverstars in top and bottom. I had the blue lights in and they broke in like a month. I have had the silverstars in for 2 and a half years and no problem. They are definetly worth the money.

all u need to do is trim one of the tabs on the bulb alittle. Thats what causes it to be alittle loose, the tab doesnt hold it in as good bc its not exactly in the right place.

I've heard at wal mart they sell sets of two for cheaper than if you buy them in the singles. Might want to check it out!

Take it easy ya'll,
