Anybody familar with this: Warn Tabor 9K, formerly the Magnumn 9K http://www.warn.com/truck/winches/src/tabor_9k.shtml Seams to be a bit less expensive than the M8000. Will it fit in my ARB bull bar? Anybody used one? Troy, You out there? |

The Tabor 9k will fit,it's a WARN winch(made by) and is similar in size to the M8000 and 9500XP.The 12,000k one will most likely not fit,it's probally the exact same as the WARN 12000 and is way to big to fit in the ARB. |

Sure thing, I'll get 2. I don't work that way. Troy, what about the quality? are they worth a crap? I understand the "You get what you pay for" saying. But how true is it in this case? |

I just spoke with Matt at warn and he said both the 12 and 9k tabors would fit in the ARB. He also said that he would rather have an M8000 instead of either Tabor. They only have 90 day electrical and 1 year hard part warranty. He told me that the M800 would outpull the Tabor even though the tabor has a higher rating. The motors on the Tabors are not very efficient. I was gonna try one, but now I might try one of Greg Smith Equips import 9500#. Travis |

Travis Yup. Internet research shows the same thing on the Tabor. Most people say they're pretty slow. I bought the M8000# and by the way, for $6.00 you can buy a bracket that mounts the control pack flat like the Tabor looks instead of standing straight up. M8000#'s were on sale for $510.00 with free ship a month or so ago. Do an internet search. Check winchdepot.com. |

You can get synthetic alot cheaper then that, ebay people seem to jack it up. I bought some about 5 months ago for under 100, and I haven't even picked up a winch yet. I have a front hitch receiver etc, even my rear wired up for it, just never got around to it ha ha. Thinking I'm gonna buy a set of Al's arms first, now I'm just rambling, but ya, check around for synthetic |
