LOST JEEPS :: View topic - KJ4ME is out...

Hey all,
just wanted to thank everyone on this forum who has helped me out during my 6 month stay here. i think this forum is pretty good and there are a lot of very knowledgeable people here; mechanics, electricians, stereo guys, wheel guys, you name it! i feel that the time has come for me to depart this forum however. there have been a couple of threads lately that have made me, as an African American, raise an eye brow. im not going to let those threads cloud my outlook on the forum as a whole tho, as there are great people here! i just no longer feel this forum is for me.

dont worry the kj is fine and im keeping it! lol

Man don't leave cuz of some stupid stuff. You are a valuable member to the forum. I know I don't know you personally. Its unfortunate that people on here say things not realizing who it affects. If you go I understand, because its what you believe in your heart. I know you said there were allot of people on here helped you out when you got your KJ. so don't let the bad apples chase you away. If you do go then best of luck, at everything you do. If I remember correctly your in the service, although I don't know which. Im assuming USA or USAF since your in Colorado. I'm not going to beg you to stay because everyone has to do what they feel is right for them. But, could you at least just pop on here when your Wave Edition is done and show us the final pics? I've been really wanting to see that finished and I think there would be a lot of disappointed people if we never get closure on it! Take care.

Sorry for any problems that have occured because of someones posts or threads. Racism of any kind will not be tolerated on this forum and the thread in question has been removed. Had I seen it earlier it would have been gone sooner and possibly prior to it becoming a problem to anyone. If anyone does not like the fact that the thread was removed they can take it up with me. While I would respect your descision to leave I can say the majority of the people on here do not have any disrespect to you at all. Heck this whole LOST was started by the founders as an escape of the hatred of the KJ on other forums. Best of luck if you do ultimately decide to leave and do pop back to show us the final edition of the wavemobile.

hate to see you leave still waiting on the final pictures of your ride. I do know about some remarks that are not right, I hear them and guess just get used to some of them ( even though they irk me) due to me being as white as white can be and my wife being from Tanzania. Some people dont think. Stick around and we will all try and do better Tom

The forum does reflect society as a whole...just the way of the world. We do try to keep some subjects off limits since the "jist" of this forum is Jeep Liberty and other models related. That being said, comments can be made within a thread that don't always "jump out" as being related to politics, religion or ethnicity. In real life you can't really avoid those topics...and we can't here either. I hope that you decide that staying is better than leaving...and that when something like that comes up you speak up. That is the way things get worked out and eventually erased. I also think things get said out of anger that are not the true essence of the person. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and if possible, judge the one act of that person by the majority of acts by that person. Afterall we are all human of different backgrounds and will make mistakes. As long as we learn from them and try to avoid the same mistakes again...it can be a positive thing. I hope you think this thru a bit more and give us all the chance to know YOU better.

Please don't allow the comments of a few people to make you feel like you need to leave the forum. I've also noticed lately that the "tone" has changed a little bit on here. But you know it's up to us (all of us) to make sure that LOST STAYS the way it should be! Don't give in to the BS!!

Why leave? I didn't catch any of what transpired and it looks like the posts may have been removed. But I'm assuming someone was racially insensitive. So you can either leave which probably is exactly what those people wanted or you can stay and help weed out the scumbags. If you're looking for a place to go where there are never any a-holes, let me know when you find it.
