I had my Jeep up on a lift today so I could do an oil change and remove the skidplates and noticed this while underneath:

Both my pinion seals are leaking!

Anyone else have this problem lately? Also, does anyone know why it's damp around the area where the two parts of the front shaft are bolted together?

Oh, and while taking my skids off I managed to bust the welds on the nut in the front crossmember, so it'll be fun to figure out how to reattach my skids...

FreedomKJ i am sure that you saw my post about this. Yours does not look all that bad at all. Like i said in the other post, the dealer said that he has seen this in MANY other liberties and it appears yours is not leaking very much...?

I am wondering if this is somthing that will happen naturally and there is no way to get around it?

Correct my if i am wrong i am guessing here...

Yeah, I saw your post after I made mine. Your leak is certainly worse than mine, but if my dealer ever told me that it wasn't leaking "bad enough" for them to do anything about it I'd go find another dealer. A leak is a leak, and it's covered under the powertrain warranty.
